Cruising with Greg Bell on Cruise One
We’re bringing all of the excitement, fun and entertainment of live radio to your cruise ship! Join Greg and his pal actor/writer/producer/director David DeBoy as they re-create radio plays live on stage just like it was done during the Golden Age.
But Greg and David need a helping hand! So they’ll be bringing volunteers from the audience up on stage to play Marshall Dillon or Johnny Dollar. Or they might ask YOU to handle the sound effects! And better than that, every member of the audience will have a chance to win prizes, gift bags and more!
Here’s just a small sampling of the fun you’ll have with Greg:
Saturday Night Departure – Meet and Greet!
- Greg will host a Departure Party where you can talk about your favorite radio programs, and learn from Greg the inside story about the stars that made them so popular.
Sunday Night at Sea - Interactive Radio Revelry!
- Greg will regale you with funny and fascinating tales of the Golden Age of Radio, complete with radio snippets, archival film footage and trivia contests. Then, YOU GET INTO THE ACT! Greg and David will enlist the audience to help them re-enact segments of your favorite radio programs – comedies, westerns, sci-fi, horror, detective scripts and more. Laughter and surprises abound as you and your friends jump into the spotlight. Then, Teams are formed for The Radio Cruise Contest - where teams of audience members are given scripts to prepare for the performance competition that happens the following Wednesday.
Wednesday Night at Sea – The Great Radio Cruise Contest!
American Idol meets The Golden Age of Radio! Teams of audience members compete against each other as they perform snippets of scripts live on stage! Become a performing competitor or just watch the fun as these Radio Teams perform the roles and create the sound effects of some of your favorite radio classics. Cheer on your fellow cruise passengers as they portray Cowboys, Super Heroes and Heroines, and vote on which Team deserves to be crowned The Great Radio Cruise Contest Winners! Along the way, you’ll have a chance to win more prizes and special gift packages. It’s an evening you’ll remember for a long time to come.
